Deborah's my taxi is Deborah's only source of income and needs an engine head gasket replacement costing $1,250.

I make my living with my taxi. 12 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Deborah.
Sure. The biggest one is engine head gasket replacement (parts), $700. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 20 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
