Simone, my husband, passed away on 22 December after complications from pneumonia. He was 61 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,450 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 January. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Simone to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $3,450 goes: • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,200 • Funeral home services and casket: $2,100 • Memorial gathering for the family: $150 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
