I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $300 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $175 • Labor charges: $20 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $55 • Towing and inspection: $50 I hope life is good to you. - Darshan

  • Hope things get better soon, Darshan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Reading so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Kanpur
