Help Danjuma keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked

The Community Pantry pantry in Lagos is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 143 each week. Donations have dropped by about 30% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Lagos market and keep every receipt. Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $400 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $145 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $170 • Baby formula and diapers: $50 • Refrigeration and electricity: $35 With deep gratitude, Danjuma
