Cristina was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in May. The surgeon at Monterrey General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,850, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,700 short.
my sister has been in and out of Monterrey General Hospital since May. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Cristina struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Cristina won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
