Cora is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at the Birmingham Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,700. The registrar has said Cora can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Cora has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Cora would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Cora isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Birmingham Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $3,700 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,050 • Final term tuition: $2,150 • Exam and lab fees: $200 • Textbooks and materials: $300 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
