Help Comfort with an overdue electricity bill before the rainy season
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Comfort needs $150 before November.
🇳🇬 400322, Enugu, Enugu, Nigeria1,937 views
The electricity account is 4 months behind. Comfort received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $150 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Comfort called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Comfort is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Comfort's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $150 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $85
• Reconnection and late fees: $15
• Down payment on a payment plan: $50
Thank you so much.

Best of luck, Efe. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Macon.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Comfort
Electricity arrears is $85 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
Hope things get better soon, Efe. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together.

Stay strong, Efe. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Casablanca.
