Help Comfort keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for families facing hunger in Badagry.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Thursday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 26 families, and now we feed 124 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Badagry market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $175
• Baby formula and diapers: $55
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Wishing you peace. More neighborhoods should do this. Don't give up. God bless
I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Zagazig.
Take care. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Badagry.
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care
I hope things turn around soon. Love from Marseille.
Rooting for you, Comfort. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Love from Cox's Bazar.
Thinking of you and your family, Comfort. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings
