Help Colton restart a bicycle repair shop in Augusta after the demolition of the market
A bicycle repair shop in Augusta needs help replacing a full set of tools after the demolition of the market.
🇺🇸 Augusta, Georgia, United States1,820 views
For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Augusta. In August, the demolition of the market took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $600
• Working capital for the first month: $380
• Replacing a full set of tools: $2,820
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Thank you. If you're in Augusta I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
keep going. This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Colombo
Sending good thoughts, Colton. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Thanks for sharing this. Hope the shop reopens soon. Take care.
