Help Claudia replace the clutch assembly and return to work
Claudia drives for a living in Los Angeles, and a broken clutch assembly has stopped all income for 4 weeks.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $830
• Labor charges: $250
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $340
• Towing and inspection: $80
Thanks for reading all this.

Wishing you the best, Claudia. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
