Help Clara start the school year with the right tools
Clara earned a place in the first year of senior school at Vancouver International School; we're $950 short on required supplies.

I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Vancouver International School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the graphic design course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $950, which is more than we have.
I love graphic design and want to become a pilot. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $950 goes:
• School uniform and shoes: $210
• Laptop: $640
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $100
Thank you so much.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope September is when things finally get easier.
Any update on how things are going in Vancouver?
so sorry you're going through this, Clara. I hope things turn around soon. Don't give up. Greetings from Southampton.
thinking of you and your family, Clara. Hope this works out for you. All the best
Thanks for sharing this, Clara. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Vancouver
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Clara.
School uniform and shoes is $210 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page.
Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Iloilo City donated after I showed her your page.
So sorry you're going through this. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Badagry.
thinking of you. Shared this with my family. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Vancouver.
Hope it all works out, Clara. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
