Claire is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Claire was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in September. The oncology team at Greensboro Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Claire is 29, worked as a farmer until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Greensboro Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $10,000 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,400
• Transport to Greensboro Cancer Centre: $650
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $700
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,250
