Citlali was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Montgomery Orthopedic Institute recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $3,950 short. my daughter has been in and out of Montgomery Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find. While we wait, Citlali struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 12 weeks.
