Without my motorbike Chitra cannot work; a $200 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my motorbike. 4 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $200 goes: • engine head gasket replacement (parts): $125 • Labor charges: $30 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $20 • Towing and inspection: $25 Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. My husband and I read this together. Take care

        • you're not alone, Chitra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.

          • you're not alone. Hope the shop reopens soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
