The electricity account is 4 months behind. Chirag received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before a reduction in hours. Chirag called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available. The household includes a disabled brother, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. Chirag is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
