Help Chihiro keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Setagaya.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 17 families, and now we feed 334 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Setagaya market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,150
• Refrigeration and electricity: $290
• Baby formula and diapers: $510
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going, Chihiro. Shared this with my family.
Wishing you peace, Chihiro. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
