Help Chiara keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
The the Second Helping pantry in Rome is running low just as demand rises; $1,300 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 281 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rome market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $90
• Baby formula and diapers: $410
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $800
