Help Chebet pay for valve repair surgery at Mombasa Regional Medical Center
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Chebet was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Chebet was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in June. The surgeon at Mombasa Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,050, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $850 short.
my wife has been in and out of Mombasa Regional Medical Center since June. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Chebet struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Chebet won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $850 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $700
• Physiotherapy sessions: $105
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45

Take care, Collins. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Colombo this morning.
gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Newport.
Thinking of you and your family, Collins. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours
