Charles is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a pharmacy diploma at Brooklyn Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,050.
The registrar has said Charles can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Charles has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Charles would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Charles isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Brooklyn Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
