Help Chao keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Rochester is running low just as demand rises; $2,200 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 216 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 40% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rochester market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $480
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,000
• Baby formula and diapers: $720
Thanks for reading all this.
