Zeynep, my sister, passed away on 17 July after a road accident. She was 37 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 28 July.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Zeynep to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Istanbul.
