Fernanda, my mother, passed away on 21 August after complications from pneumonia. She was 67 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 30 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Fernanda to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Petrópolis hospice.
