Help Carolina keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Barcelona.
🇪🇸 Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain2,246 views
Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 28 families, and now we feed 86 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 6 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Barcelona market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $850
• Baby formula and diapers: $155
• Refrigeration and electricity: $245
Every share and every dollar helps.

Keep going, Carolina. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Put this on a community board in Lahore this morning. Love from Lahore.
Rooting for you, Carolina. Your post was clear and honest.
