Carmen was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Barcelona Community Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,700 short. my wife has been in and out of Barcelona Community Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,500 is more than we can find.
