Cameron is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Leeds Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,300. The registrar has said Cameron can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Cameron has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Cameron would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Cameron isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Leeds Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $5,300 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,850 • Final term tuition: $2,950 • Exam and lab fees: $220 • Textbooks and materials: $280 Thanks for reading all this.

Updates from Oliver

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($680 in total) the plan for final term tuition is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 8% now ($425). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance.
