Help Bisma keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
The the Second Helping pantry in Gujranwala is running low just as demand rises; $400 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 210 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 53% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 8 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Gujranwala market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $190
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $5
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope it all works out, Bisma. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Gujranwala.
