Benoît runs a volunteer pantry feeding 113 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 113 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Saint-Denis market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,150
• Baby formula and diapers: $390
• Refrigeration and electricity: $260

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($1,200) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
