Benjamin is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Benjamin was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in September. The oncology team at Dallas Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Benjamin is 45, worked as a primary school teacher until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dallas Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $9,900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,750
• Scans and lab work: $600
• Transport to Dallas Regional Medical Center: $1,100
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $350
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,100
