Bella was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in July. The surgeon at Sydney Community Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $3,150 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Sydney Community Hospital since July. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Bella struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Bella won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
