Siobhan, my grandmother, passed away on 16 August after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 53 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 29 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Siobhan to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Kilkenny hospice. Where the $3,700 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,100 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $930 • Transport of the deceased: $280 • Memorial gathering for the family: $390 Thanks for being kind about this.
