Help Auma get through 5 hard months with three children under 12
Auma and three children under 12 need a bridge to stability after a sudden redundancy.
🇰🇪 Nairobi, Kenya777 views
Since a sudden redundancy in October, I'm now raising three children under 12 on my own. I work as a driver, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a pharmacy technician in the evenings, which will triple my income by January, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rent top-up: $165
• Childcare and after-school care: $170
• Groceries and school meals: $175
• Course fees and exam costs: $90
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending strength, Auma. Hope you get there. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Thanks for sharing this, Auma. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Duisburg.
Keep going, Auma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better.
Best of luck, Auma. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
