Girona

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Saturday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 376 each week. Donations have dropped by about 34% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Girona market and keep every receipt. Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $1,850 goes: • Refrigeration and electricity: $230 • Baby formula and diapers: $400 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,220 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Armando

Updates from Armando

Good news. Because of your gifts ($218 in total) I met with the wholesaler and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Thank you all. We're at 9% now ($168). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for rice, beans, flour and oil is now scheduled.
