Help Arjun keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Varanasi.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 30 families, and now we feed 369 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Varanasi market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Great idea, hope you get there. After 21 years in accounting I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Greetings from Los Angeles
