Help Anwar restart a sewing studio in Riyadh after a break-in
Anwar has run a sewing studio for fifteen years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $2,450 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a sewing studio in Riyadh. In June, a break-in took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $1,400
• Initial stock: fabric: $490
• Shop repairs and licensing: $370
• Working capital for the first month: $190
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Anwar.
It's all in the list in the story. replacing a cutting table and overlocker is the big one at $1,400, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
Good luck, Anwar. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
so sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Rooting for you, Anwar. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
thanks for sharing this, Anwar. Hope the shop reopens soon. Thinking of Riyadh.
Hang in there, Anwar. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from San Diego.
