Antonio is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Venice Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,750.
The registrar has said Antonio can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Antonio has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Antonio would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Antonio isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Venice Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
