Anisur was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in April. The surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $850 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Joseph Hospital since April. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Anisur struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
