Help Anisur keep the Open Hands Pantry pantry stocked
Anisur runs a volunteer pantry feeding 389 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 389 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 52% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rohini market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $290
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $65
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Refrigeration and electricity: $75
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

how is Anisur doing now?
best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best
Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 17 people at work.
