Bogra
Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 248 each week. Donations have dropped by about 57% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bogra market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $350 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $85 • Baby formula and diapers: $25 • Refrigeration and electricity: $10 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Best of luck, Anika. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
