Rosa, my grandmother, passed away on 22 June after a road accident. She was 70 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 2 July. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Rosa to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $3,950 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,200 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $950 • Transport of the deceased: $460 • Memorial gathering for the family: $340 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
