Aldo was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at Turin Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Aldo is 54, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Turin Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $5,950 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $990
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,200
• Transport to Turin Regional Medical Center: $760
