Help Alberto lay Sofía to rest with dignity in León
Alberto lost his mother suddenly and the family cannot cover funeral and burial costs of $1,950.

Sofía, my mother, passed away on 18 September after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 72 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 8 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sofía to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,200
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $600
• Transport of the deceased: $65
• Memorial gathering for the family: $85
Thank you for reading my story.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near León
Thank you. If you're in León I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Wishing you the best, Alberto. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless
Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of León.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Jakarta Barat
You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier!
