Coyoacán
Alberto is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Coyoacán Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $850. The registrar has said Alberto can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Alberto has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Alberto would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Alberto isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $850 goes: • Final term tuition: $440 • Exam and lab fees: $50 • Outstanding tuition balance: $360 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
