Alberto is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Orlando Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,300. The registrar has said Alberto can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Alberto has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Alberto would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Alberto isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Orlando Community College bursar's office.
