I make my living with my food truck. 10 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $50. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $50 goes: • Towing and inspection: $15 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Labor charges: $10 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Akoth

  1. We're at 77% thanks to 2 of you. I made the first payment toward towing and inspection. More news soon.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($39 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 45% funded and we've started the first stage.
