Aishwarya is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a law degree at Coimbatore Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450. The registrar has said Aishwarya can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Aishwarya has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Aishwarya would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
