Renata, my grandmother, passed away on 18 May after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 44 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 23 May. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Renata to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $5,800 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $3,450 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,700 • Transport of the deceased: $380 • Memorial gathering for the family: $270 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
