I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 7 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $300 goes: • Towing and inspection: $20 • fuel pump replacement (parts): $260 • Labor charges: $20 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Aditya

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 39% funded and I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.

  3. Quick update: $118 raised so far (39%). I made the first payment toward labor charges. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  • Thinking of you and your family, Aditya. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

    • Hope things get better soon, Aditya. Small businesses are the heart of Jakarta. Hope you're open again soon. We're a small family in Lille but we're thinking of you
