Help Achieng keep the Neighbors' Pantry pantry stocked
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Dar es Salaam is running low just as demand rises; $350 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 107 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 53% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Dar es Salaam market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $75
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
