The gas account is 2 months behind. Aaron received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $950 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in May. Aaron called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $160 first, which isn't available. The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
