Hellen's prostate cancer treatment fund
Hellen is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Hellen was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May. The oncology team at Nairobi Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Hellen is 52, worked as a hairdresser until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nairobi Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $230
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
• Transport to Nairobi Cancer Centre: $120
